BEML Limited has entered into an agreement with the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) to collaborate on research and academic initiatives in defence and aerospace. The agreement covers advanced research in frontier technologies, academic programmes, and industry-oriented training.
The Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged in the presence of BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy and DIAT Vice-Chancellor B H V S Narayana Murthy. It was formally signed by BEML Executive Director M G G Raju and DIAT Dean Sangeeta Kale, along with senior leadership from both institutions.
According to BEML, the partnership will include support for postgraduate and doctoral programmes, development of case studies, white papers, and research articles. It will also cover capsule programmes, industry immersions, internships for DIAT scholars at BEML, and BEML-sponsored doctoral enrolments.
Roy said, “This collaboration represents a significant step in strengthening India’s self-reliance in defence and aerospace.”
BEML Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru, is a public sector company under the Ministry of Defence. It operates in sectors including defence, aerospace, mining, and construction equipment.
