General Aeronautics (GA), a Bangalore-based company specializing in drone technology for agriculture, has completed its Series A+ funding round, led by Fowler Westrup India. The funding amount has not been disclosed.
According to a press release, the investment will support GA’s plans to scale production capacity, expand distribution networks, and enhance research and development efforts. The company also aims to introduce affordable drone variants tailored for small-scale entrepreneurs, offering cost-effective alternatives to traditional farming equipment.
GA provides drones certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and has collaborated with agrochemical companies such as Syngenta, Bayer, FMC, and IFFCO to deploy its precision spraying technology.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Burman, CEO of General Aeronautics, stated that the funding will help the company expand its reach and production capabilities. Fowler Westrup India’s Managing Director and CEO, Shardul Kshirsagar, highlighted the partnership’s potential to scale GA’s operations and improve supply chain efficiency.
Fowler Westrup, a company involved in seed and grain processing and precision farming services, is part of Mahyco Grow, an agribusiness group with international operations.
General Aeronautics develops drones equipped with mission planning and execution platforms to improve farming efficiency and productivity. The company’s technology is designed for various crop types, agrochemicals, and environmental conditions.
