Indian Aerospace Delegation visits Berlin Air show and ZAL centre for applied aeronautical research

Berlin: The Indian Aerospace Delegation coordinated by Indo German Chamber of Commerce and The AviationSapce Network visited the Berlin Air show ILA 2016 and ZAL centre- the world’s most up-to-date civil aviation research facility for applied aeronautical research, Hamburg.

ILA Berlin Air Show 2016 demonstrated the capabilities and achievements of all areas of the global aerospace industry with its numerous innovations and advanced technology. From 1 to 4 June 2016 a wide range of the latest hi-tech products as well as research and development projects were displayed by the 1,017 exhibitors from 37 countries.

During this four-day event 150,000 trade visitors and members of the public thronged the 250,000 square-metre Berlin ExpoCenter Airport. Some 200 aircraft were featured in the static and flying displays. Digitalisation and 3D printing, Industry 4.0 and eco-efficiency were among the main themes addressed by the conferences. The many hi-tech products on view at the new Future Lab on the stand of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs provided insights into the technological future of the aerospace industry.

The Startup Day was another new feature at ILA 2016 that enabled 50 newly established companies to present their creative ideas and business models which have the potential to benefit the aerospace industry in the future.

BDLI the German Aerospace Association which was conducting the Air Show gave a reception to the visiting Delegation and the Delegates had the opportunity to interact with the members of BDLI.

The Delegation also attended receptions by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and the Japanese Aerospace association both of which had number of their members exhibiting products and services in the Air show in special pavilions.

The 10 member Delegation including representatives of companies like Amado Tools, Akuva Infotech, Bird Group, BNR Exports, Good Luck India, Micron Engineers, Shree Engineers and Fox Mandal had number of business meetings with various aerospace companies and suppliers to the industry at the Berlin Air Show 2016.
