Raphe mPhibr Opens Drone And Defence Equipment Facility In Noida

Raphe mPhibr has opened a drone manufacturing unit and a defence equipment and engine test facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The facility, inaugurated on 30 August 2025, includes an engine test bed, a metal additive manufacturing setup, high-temperature furnaces capable of reaching 2,800 degrees Celsius, a composite polymer manufacturing centre, and a range of drones such as payload-drop drones, swarm drones and precision-guided missile drones.
The event was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjeev Kumar.
Raphe mPhibr and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) jointly developed three products within 14 months that were deployed during Operation Sindoor. “The reality of modern defence today rests on aircraft technology and drones. In today’s era, it is essential to understand the importance of drones and to effectively incorporate them into war tactics,” said Rajnath Singh. He also noted that drones are increasingly being used in areas where larger equipment cannot reach, referencing their extensive role in the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
Noida and Greater Noida currently host 22 drone companies, both domestic and international. The area has also expanded into electronics and smartphone manufacturing, datacentres and IT infrastructure, global capability centres, semiconductors and defence technology. Addverb, backed by Reliance Industries, operates a mobile robot manufacturing plant in Noida.
Raphe mPhibr is a start-up associated with the iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) initiative. The company develops defence technologies including drones, propulsion systems and advanced manufacturing solutions.
