Startup Day at the Berlin Air Show 2016

Berlin: The ILA Berlin Air Show 2016 scheduled to take place from 1st to 4th June in Berlin is introducing "Startup Day" for the first time in its history of more than 100 years. The organizers aim to promote innovative startups and enable them to network with key players, thus facilitating the integration of outstanding technological solutions into the aerospace industry’s innovation processes.

The ILA Startup Day is coorganised by the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), Messe Berlin GmbH and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). On 2 June from 12 midday to 1 p.m. Brigitte Zypries, Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMWi, and the federal government’s German Aerospace Coordinator, will be talking at the ILA Startup Day about the need for networking within this sector and the prospects for partnerships between established companies and startups.

On 2 June 2016 at the Startup Day the focus will be on networking, matchmaking and pitches. An all-day programme of stage events featuring lectures, keynote speeches, panels and sessions that targets startups will aim to introduce them to the world of aerospace.

At ILA 2016 the ILA Startup Day will be taking place in Hall 6 in the International Suppliers Center ISC. Admission to the ISC and ILA Startup Day is reserved for trade visitors only.
