New DelhiThe Indian Air Force has received the Final Operational Clearance (FOC) for the indigenous Netra Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) system, marking a major milestone in India's defence aerospace capabilities. Developed by DRDO in collaboration with the IAF and industry partners, the system significantly enhances airborne surveillance, situational awareness, and battle management capabilities.
The FOC validates Netra's operational maturity following its Initial Operational Clearance in 2017 and reinforces India's progress in developing advanced indigenous defence technologies. The achievement strengthens the nation's self-reliance in airborne command-and-control systems while boosting the IAF's operational readiness for modern warfare.Wednesday, July 01, 2026
