Aexo Aerospace, an Indian aerospace startup, has officially launched with a focus on developing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles for urban air mobility. According to a press release issued by the company, Aexo aims to address urban transport, defense, and medical needs with its Single-Seater and Three-Seater eVTOL models.
The Single-Seater eVTOL is designed for agile and versatile urban transport, while the Three-Seater model targets broader applications, including government operations, medical use, and commuter travel. The company is also working on proprietary vertiports to support the adoption of autonomous aerial systems and high-tech infrastructure for air mobility.
Aexo founder Sourav Samantara commented on the company's approach, stating that its vision involves making personal aerial vehicles as transformative as cars. He noted that while regulatory challenges remain in the aerospace sector, the company aims to develop solutions that could guide policymakers toward supporting innovation in the space.
Aexo Aerospace has also expressed its intention to contribute to the Asia-Pacific eVTOL market, citing sustainable aviation as a key area of focus. The company's activities highlight its ambition to integrate advanced air mobility solutions into modern urban infrastructure.
