Air India has entered into a six-year agreement with SR Technics for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of its CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engine fleet. The contract will see SR Technics providing long-term technical support to ensure the operational reliability of the engines.
In a statement, SR Technics' CEO, Owen McClave, noted that the agreement aligns with the company’s expertise in engine maintenance. Campbell Wilson, CEO & Managing Director of Air India, highlighted that SR Technics met the airline's technical and operational requirements.
The collaboration expands SR Technics’ operations in the Indian and Asia-Pacific markets, further integrating the company into the regional aviation ecosystem. This development supports Air India’s operational strategy to maintain fleet efficiency as it scales its services.
