Bharat Forge Begins Operations at New Defence Manufacturing Facility in Maharashtra

Bharat Forge has commenced operations at its new defence manufacturing facility in Jejuri, Maharashtra. The facility, developed by its subsidiary Kalyani Strategic Systems, focuses on artillery systems, armoured vehicles, and related defence equipment. The company stated that the facility will support design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities for a range of platforms.

According to a press release, the facility spans over 100 acres and is equipped with automated production lines, advanced robotic systems, and testing and validation infrastructure. It will serve both domestic and export markets.

Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said, “This facility is testament to our continued commitment to build world-class defence manufacturing infrastructure in the country. We are fully aligned with developing critical technologies and systems for the armed forces.”

Kalyani Strategic Systems is the defence and aerospace arm of Bharat Forge, a part of the Kalyani Group.
