Boeing has announced the appointment of Dana Deasy as its chief information digital officer and senior vice president of Information Technology & Data Analytics, effective December 31, 2024.
In his new role, Deasy will oversee the company’s information technology operations, information security, and data analytics functions. He will report directly to Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg and serve on the company’s Executive Council, according to a press release.
Deasy brings over four decades of experience in technology and leadership across various industries. His previous roles include serving as chief information officer at the U.S. Department of Defense, JPMorganChase, BP, and General Motors. He began his career in information management at Rockwell’s Space Systems Division.
Deasy succeeds Susan Doniz, who departed the company in late 2024.
Boeing is an aerospace manufacturer involved in the development, production, and servicing of commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems. It operates in more than 150 countries and works with a global supplier base.
This appointment is seen as part of Boeing's efforts to strengthen its information technology and data analytics capabilities amidst evolving technological and cybersecurity challenges.
