Casey Aviation Private Limited, in collaboration with Quick Silver Freight Systems Pvt Ltd, has announced plans to develop the DevDoot Air Ambulance, a hybrid gyrocopter designed for emergency medical evacuations in high-altitude regions such as the Upper Himalayas and Ladakh. The first flight is expected by the end of 2026.
According to the company, DevDoot is being designed to operate at altitudes between 5,750 and 5,900 meters. The project is being developed under India’s Helidisha policy, which aims to expand aviation manufacturing capabilities. The aircraft is expected to be produced domestically, with research and development, component manufacturing, and assembly operations planned at a bonded warehouse in Manesar/Gurgaon.
The leadership team involved in the project includes Air Marshal G S Bedi (Retired), Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh, and Pawan Kakkar and Navneet Kakkar from Quick Silver Freight Systems. Quick Silver will also support the initiative through global supply chain management.
The DevDoot Air Ambulance is expected to feature a hybrid propulsion system, AI-driven flight control, and advanced rotor technology. The initiative aims to provide medical evacuation services in remote areas with limited healthcare access.
