Dhruva Space has announced the launch of AstraView, a commercial satellite imagery service, supported by partnerships with multiple satellite data providers, including Array Labs, Axelspace, Capella Space, Geosat, Maxar, Planet, Satellogic, SI Imaging Services, Unseenlabs, and Wyvern.
AstraView offers satellite imagery data across various formats, including Electro-Optical, Synthetic-Aperture Radar (SAR), Radio Frequency, and Hyper-Spectral imagery. These services are aimed at customers in academia, defense, and enterprise sectors, enabling access to historical and near real-time geospatial data for a range of applications.
The service supports real-time tasking, archived imagery searches, and the collection of new satellite data, allowing users to obtain specific geospatial information without the need for managing satellite infrastructure. According to the company, AstraView’s structure aims to simplify integration and reduce costs for its customers.
Sanjay Nekkanti, CEO of Dhruva Space, highlighted the importance of on-demand geospatial data and acknowledged the contributions of their partners in launching the service.
The introduction of AstraView was officially announced at the 2024 GeoSmart India conference in Hyderabad, Telangana, an event organized by Geospatial World to showcase innovations and discuss developments in geospatial technologies.
Dhruva Space, based in Hyderabad, provides satellite solutions, Earth stations, and launch services as part of its broader space engineering offerings.
