(Hyderabad. 25 August 2024 ) Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, former Chairperson of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), assumes charge as the Chairman, Research Advisory board and Distinguished Senior Professor at the newly launched Research Centre for National Security, BITS Pilani, at Hyderabad.
During his distinguished career in DRDO, Dr. Reddy has played a pivotal role in advancing India’s defense capabilities through numerous high-impact projects and innovations.
Dr. Reddy will be guiding and overseeing advanced research and innovation initiatives in the Center for Research Excellence in National Security.
Dr. Reddy is clear that this will be aiding his endeavour to pursue critical activities in the field of National Security and Defence.

Dr. Satheesh Reddy, a world-renowned defence and aerospace scientist, is acclaimed for his significant contributions to Defence R&D and technology leadership spanning several decades.
During his illustrious career, he held many prestigious appointments in the Government of India as the Secretary Department of Defence R&D, Chairman, of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Director General, of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) & the Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri (SA to RM).
