Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG) has announced plans to establish a new aerospace manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India. The plant, set to begin production by the end of 2025, will focus on cockpit products, including backlit panels and higher-level assemblies.
The facility will be located in a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Hyderabad Airport, allowing for tariff-free trade with international markets. According to FTG, India’s expanding aerospace and defence sector and investment-friendly policies influenced the site selection. The company has also secured an option to expand the facility’s capacity by over 200% in the future.
With over 35 years of experience in aerospace and defence electronics, FTG specializes in high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs) and avionic sub-systems. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its global presence and tap into India’s growing aerospace market.
FTG reported bookings of $45.9 million in the third quarter of 2024, demonstrating its financial strength to support strategic expansions. The company recently acquired FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. in December 2024, enhancing its capabilities and product portfolio. It has also signed a 10-year lease for an expanded FTG Aerospace facility, consolidating operations for greater efficiency.
The Hyderabad facility will incorporate Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs. FTG currently operates in Canada, the United States, and China, with the Hyderabad plant marking its fourth country for aerospace manufacturing.
Further details on the project will be shared at the Aero India 2025 Exhibition, where FTG will be exhibiting at Hall J.
