Russia has proposed a collaborative initiative with India on the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter jet program, offering joint production, direct aircraft supply, and assistance in developing India's own advanced combat aircraft.
Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, emphasized Russia’s interest in strengthening defense ties with India. The Su-57E is set to be showcased at Aero India 2025, which will be held from February 10-14 at Yelahanka Air Force Base, where discussions on potential collaboration are expected.
Additionally, Rostec, Russia’s defense corporation, is expanding its Su-57 production capabilities to address increasing demand. Its subsidiary, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), is actively promoting the aircraft for export while enhancing manufacturing capacity. The company anticipates strong interest in the Su-57 during the event in Bengaluru.
