MunichAt the Defence Investor Summit in Munich (April 23, 2026), Defence Minister Rajnath Singh invited German industry leaders to partner with India in co-developing and co-producing advanced defence technologies.
He emphasized that in today’s uncertain global environment—marked by shifting geopolitics and supply chain disruptions—reliable, long-term partnerships are essential. India offers a strong value proposition with its expanding market, skilled workforce, stable policy environment, and growing industrial ecosystem.
India is particularly seeking collaboration in niche areas such as AI-enabled unmanned systems, advanced sensors, radar technologies, and underwater systems. Singh clarified that India’s push for self-reliance is not inward-looking, but focused on building capabilities through trusted global partnerships.
He also highlighted India’s transition from a defence buyer to a co-development and manufacturing partner, creating long-term opportunities for global companies.
During the visit, Singh held talks with Boris Pistorius and visited a submarine facility in Kiel, further strengthening India–Germany defence ties.
