BangaloreIn a major push to indigenous defence capabilities, the Ministry of Defence has signed a ₹1,476 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the procurement of five Ground-Based Mobile Electronic Systems for the Indian Army.
The contract was formalised in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh under the Buy (Indian–IDDM) category, mandating a minimum of 72% indigenous content.

These systems are expected to:
