Nabhdrishti Aerospace, a Bengaluru-based aerospace startup, has raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by Accel, with participation from IIMA Ventures and other existing investors. The company plans to use the funding to advance the development of its propulsion technology by testing three engine prototypes and conducting flight trials in collaboration with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturers.
Founded in 2023 by Rohit Chouhan, Arjun Srivatsa, and Antanu Sadhu, Nabhdrishti Aerospace focuses on developing propulsion and power systems for aerospace applications. The company also intends to generate early revenue and expand its workforce across engineering, production, and customer support by the end of the year.
“India’s dependence on imported propulsion systems has long constrained our aerospace ambitions,” said Rohit Chouhan, co-founder and chief executive officer of Nabhdrishti Aerospace. “Our mission is to redefine the future of aerospace propulsion by building fuel-flexible, high-performance engines that are both sustainable and indigenously developed.”
Accel stated that propulsion technology remains a key challenge in aerospace innovation, particularly in emerging markets. “Propulsion technology remains one of the most challenging and critical bottlenecks in aerospace innovation, particularly for emerging markets like India,” said Mahendran Balachandran, partner at Accel.
The company aims to expand its product portfolio and customer base in the coming years, with long-term goals of establishing itself in the propulsion technology sector.
