Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the India, iDEX, and Karnataka Pavilions at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru. The India Pavilion is exhibiting domestically developed defence technologies and manufacturing capabilities, featuring over 275 displays from defence public sector undertakings, design houses, private firms, and startups.
The central area of the India Pavilion includes key platforms such as the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft, Combat Air Teaming System, and Twin-Engine Deck-Based Fighter. The pavilion highlights ongoing efforts in defence innovation and production.
The iDEX Pavilion is showcasing products developed by Indian startups and innovators in sectors including aerospace, cybersecurity, robotics, unmanned ground vehicles, and anti-drone systems. A dedicated section features winners of the ADITI (Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX) scheme, highlighting advancements in critical defence technologies.
During the event, Singh released three publications: the iDEX Report 2024, the iDEX Coffee Table Book, and the iDEX Finance Manual. The finance manual outlines simplified financial procedures aimed at expediting defence innovation projects.
The Karnataka Pavilion is displaying advancements from the state's aerospace and defence industries. Karnataka, home to over 2,000 small and medium enterprises in these sectors, is represented by a range of technology demonstrations at the pavilion. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiva Kumar was also present at the event.
Aero India 2025, held in Bengaluru, serves as a platform for industry stakeholders to exhibit defence technologies and explore collaboration opportunities in the aerospace and defence sectors.
