SPH Aviation and GDX Security Solutions Partner to Enhance Aviation Security with Drone Technology
SPH Aviation Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of AVPL International, has entered into a partnership with GDX Security Solutions India Pvt Ltd, a company with an annual revenue of Rs 2,000 crore, to enhance aviation security through drone technology. The collaboration, formalized via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), focuses on modernizing security practices, developing skilled drone operators, and creating employment opportunities in the drone sector.
Key components of the initiative include the establishment of Remote Pilot Training Organisations (RPTOs) to certify drone pilots under Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) standards, the deployment of Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions, and the pursuit of research and development for custom drone applications.
The companies have also agreed on a revenue-sharing and intellectual property framework to manage collaborative rights and benefits. As part of the partnership, SPH Aviation will oversee the training of GDX Security personnel as certified drone operators to meet industry demands for skilled professionals.
