Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) has doubled its land allocation in the Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to 60 acres, securing an additional 30 acres. The expansion aims to accommodate the expected growth in aerospace manufacturing driven by increasing aircraft production.
According to a company press release, the facility in Nagpur, which produces floor beams for Boeing and Airbus aircraft, is positioned to benefit from a growing order book for both manufacturers. The additional land allocation was facilitated through discussions with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), the developer of the SEZ.
TASL's Nagpur unit, operational for over a decade, specializes in manufacturing high-tech aerospace components and is the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supplying floor beams to both Boeing and Airbus. This expansion is part of the company’s efforts to support the anticipated demand for aerospace manufacturing capabilities in the coming years.
The move is expected to contribute to the development of the aerospace ecosystem in the region.
