Unimech has expanded its manufacturing operations with the launch of a new 60,000 square foot facility at Devanahalli Aerospace Park in Bangalore. The new plant aims to support high-mix, medium-volume production for sectors including aerospace, energy, nuclear, and semiconductors.
The facility includes over 45 computer numerical control (CNC) machines, comprising advanced 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis systems, as well as turn and turn-mill capabilities. The company has also increased its workforce of engineers and machinists and installed infrastructure designed for producing high-complexity, tight-tolerance components and assemblies.
According to Unimech, over 95% of its output is currently exported. The expansion is expected to enhance its ability to meet international demand and support its business with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and other manufacturing partners.
"We’re excited to deepen our partnerships with OEMs, Tier-1s, and suppliers across the world," the company stated.
