HyderabadWings India 2026 civil aviation event scheduled for January in Hyderabad
Wings India 2026, a four-day civil aviation event, is scheduled to be held from 28 to 31 January 2026 at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. The event will bring together stakeholders from across the aviation value chain, including airlines, aircraft manufacturers, airports, maintenance providers and policymakers, at a time of continued expansion in India’s civil aviation sector.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Wings India 2026 is positioned as Asia’s largest civil aviation event and will serve as a platform to present developments in connectivity, manufacturing, maintenance, training and sustainability. The ministry said the event will focus on the evolution of India’s aviation ecosystem and its integration with global aviation markets.
India’s civil aviation sector has expanded significantly over the past decade, with growth in passenger traffic, aircraft induction and airport infrastructure. The release said Indian carriers have placed large aircraft orders in recent years, while airport capacity has increased through the development of greenfield airports, terminal modernisation and regional connectivity initiatives. The sector has also seen growth in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, pilot training, aerospace manufacturing and air cargo operations.
The event will include an international exhibition, static and flying aircraft displays, aerobatic performances, and a multi-track global aviation conference. Conference sessions will cover areas such as airport infrastructure, airlines and aircraft leasing, helicopters and business aviation, maintenance and component manufacturing, air cargo, sustainable aviation fuel, advanced air mobility and drones, and aviation training and skilling.
Wings India 2026 is expected to host ministerial-level and official delegations from 20 countries, along with participation from Indian state governments. Aircraft manufacturers, engine makers, airlines, airport operators, maintenance providers and technology companies have confirmed participation, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Dassault Aviation, ATR, RTX, Rolls-Royce, Air India, IndiGo and Akasa Air.
The programme will also include structured business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, a job fair focused on aviation skills, and a student innovation competition. An awards ceremony recognising performance in civil aviation is planned, and the organisers expect announcements related to partnerships and memoranda of understanding during the event.
The ministry said Wings India 2026 is expected to attract more than 150 exhibitors, around 7,500 business visitors, approximately 100,000 general visitors, over 200 foreign delegates and more than 500 scheduled business meetings. Aircraft displays are expected to include more than 31 aircraft across static and flying demonstrations.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation oversees policy, regulation and development of civil aviation in India, including airports, air transport services and aviation safety, and works with industry stakeholders to support sectoral growth. On Date:
