Zen Technologies Limited has received a patent for its Automated Hard Kill Firearm Mounting System, which enables autonomous target detection and engagement. The patent, filed on October 15, 2022, will remain valid until October 15, 2042, under the Indian Patents Act.
According to a press release from Zen Technologies, the system integrates AI-powered target acquisition, automated firing, and real-time threat response. It is designed for use in border security, counter-drone operations, and automated perimeter defence. The system can be integrated with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms such as anti-drone systems and Battlefield Surveillance Radars (BFSRs) for electronic target acquisition.
This marks Zen Technologies’ third patent in 2025 and the 13th in the 2024-25 financial year. The company states that it has applied for over 155 patents and has supplied more than 1,000 training systems globally.
