Deoghar Airport, managed by the Airports Authority of India and the second airport in Jharkhand, has launched flight connectivity to Mumbai. IndiGo Airlines will operate three weekly flights between Deoghar and Mumbai, expanding its services from this airport.
Currently, IndiGo also operates flights from Deoghar to Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ranchi, and Patna, with plans to add a route to Guwahati in the near future.
The inaugural flight to Mumbai was flagged off during an event at the Ministry of Civil Aviation headquarters and included a ceremony at Deoghar Airport attended by airport officials and IndiGo representatives.
This development adds to the growing network of Deoghar Airport, which has been gaining traction for its passenger numbers.
