Delhi AXISCADES Technologies Limited has signed an agreement with French space technology company Aldoria for the provision of an optical station to support the deployment of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) capabilities in India. The initial station is scheduled for deployment in 2026, followed by a phased expansion to more than a dozen stations by 2031.
The agreement was signed at the Embassy of France in New Delhi in the presence of Eléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as part of the delegation of Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, to India. The agreement is intended to enhance India’s capability in Space Situational Awareness.
The contract covers two core components: optical stations based on a standard-components architecture and associated software required to operate and scale a distributed network. The phased rollout will begin with a pilot station deployed with initial support, including maintenance and critical spare parts over a defined period.
