Data Patterns (India) Limited has secured the Lowest Bidder (L1) position for a ₹1,300 crore contract from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to supply specialised Buffer Amplifier and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) modules for military aircraft. The company has also independently developed an advanced AESA Flight Control Radar for the Indian Air Force, further strengthening its position in India's indigenous defence electronics sector.
The proposed contract, which exceeds the company's total order inflows for FY2026, is expected to significantly boost its order book and provide strong revenue visibility over the next two financial years. The modules are scheduled for delivery within 180 days of the formal contract award.
The development comes amid growing government support for indigenous defence manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, with a major share of defence capital procurement now reserved for domestic industry. Data Patterns continues to expand its presence in critical areas such as electronic warfare, avionics, and network-centric systems.
While the L1 status marks a significant milestone, the contract will become effective only after HAL issues the formal purchase order.
