Aerospace components manufacturer JJG Aero plans to invest Rs 200 crore in the first phase of a new manufacturing facility, expected to be operational by 2027, according to a report by The New Indian Express. The company is in the final stages of securing land in Bengaluru for the project.
JJG Aero, a subsidiary of JJ Glastronics, currently operates two facilities in Jigani and Bommasandra with a combined floor space of 60,000 sq ft. These facilities house 100 CNC machines and 30 process lines. The Bommasandra plant is undergoing expansion to accommodate 50 additional machines.
The new facility will be built on a 5-acre site with a planned built-up area of 200,000 sq ft. It is expected to house up to 1,000 CNC machines and additional specialized processing capabilities. The company plans to consolidate its manufacturing operations from its existing facilities at the new location by 2030.
JJG Aero produces over 1,500 unique aerospace component part numbers and plans to add 800 more this year, including complex components. It supplies machined components for landing systems, interiors, engines, avionics, and other commercial aircraft segments. The company serves 12 clients, including GE Aerospace, Safran, Woodward, Pratt & Whitney, and Collins Aerospace, with some direct supplies to Boeing.
According to CEO Anuj Jhunjhunwala, the company will follow up the initial Rs 200 crore investment with an additional Rs 50-100 crore annually over the next six to eight years as part of the facility’s second phase of development.
In the last fiscal year, JJG Aero reported revenues of Rs 110 crore, accounting for 60% of the total business of the JJG group. The company has recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30-40% over the past three years.
